Membership Requirements
First, the good news: you no longer have to be a teacher to qualify for membership.
However, you do have to live, work, or worship in Cherokee County and do one of the following:
- Work for the Cherokee County independent school district
- Work for Cherokee County
- Work for Cherokee County Appraisal District
- Work for the Cherokee County Electric Cooperative
- Live, work, worship, or attend school in Rusk
- Have an immediate family member who is a member
